FAMILY LITERACY PROJECT

The Family Literacy program provides numerous educational services to children and families. With programs for both parents and students, Family Literacy is an extended classroom.  The Literacy program helps parents achieve basic literacy and English- language skills. The tutorial program helps students reach grade-level competency in reading and mathematics. Students also receive support with homework and college preparation.

Family Literacy Book Club
Want to spice up your Thursdays? Come join the Family Literacy department in its first book club. School age students, staff, parents, tutors and volunteers are welcomed to explore the exciting world of reading. The book club is designed to increase community and family involvement by encouraging its children to appreciate a love for the written word. The book club will meet in the family room(1st floor), the first Thursday of every month from 6:00-7:00. April 3rd we will be disscussing "The Secret Garden", by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
